Riley McGaff is an Creative Director, Multidisciplinary Designer, Photographer & Illustrator in Seattle, WA.
In my career, I have worked in almost every type of design within a wide range of industry verticals. From motion design, to photography, to environmental design, there aren’t many types of projects that I haven’t been involved with, which is something I love about myself and my career path. Most of my career has been in a marketing capacity of some form, whether internally or as an agency, which leads me to consider how any project might be impacted or work within a variety of campaigns, even if it isn’t a marketing project.
My interests outside of design are also pretty wide-ranging, from psychology and sociology, to fashion. I especially love to combine those two topics. Everyone who knows me, knows me for my fashion choices, as I tend to stand out from a crowd. I used to run a fashion blog when I worked from home full time, just so that I had an excuse to dress however I wanted, rather than just lounge clothes constantly. I am an avid reader, I mainly read Sci-Fi and Fantasy, but I also love non-fiction books about topics that I am passionate about. I also love to dance. I am frequently found in ballet classes, waltz classes or socials, and swing socials!
I am also very intrigued by Japanese language, culture, and history, so much so that I received a minor in Japanese language while at university, purely for my passion around Japan. I even made a travel guide from my trip to Japan, you can see it here.
I live in Seattle, and I love the PNW dearly, I’m honestly not sure if I could live anywhere else.
